Don’t Miss These 5 Things at the OOH 2019 Media Conference & Expo


The OOH 2019 Media Conference & Expo is an event hosted by OAAA and Geopath, bringing together key players in the outdoor advertising industry. This year’s conference will include sessions covering a wide range of topics including programmatic technology, data, analytics and more. While it’s sure to be a full few days, we wanted to share the “can’t miss” moments at this year’s show.

Vistar Media’s Show-Stopping Booth

Experience digital out-of-home in action at the Vistar Media exhibit. Find us in booths 107 & 109 where we’ll be featuring two of our unique media owner partners, Life Fitness and Vengo. Life Fitness, an exercise equipment company that recently launched a full-fledged media business, and Vengo, a digital vending machine company, each exemplify the versatility of Vistar’s ad server and SSP. No matter the screen or device, Vistar can work with you to enhance your digital signage through programmatic technology.

Jam-Packed General Session

Tuesday from 8:00 to 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 until noon, get ready for a full morning of OOH education! In Pinyon 4 & 5, Nick Brien, CEO of Dentsu Aegis, Nancy Fletcher, President & CEO of OAAA, Mike Benson, Head of Marketing at Amazon Studios, Rishad Tobaccowala, Chief Growth Officer at Publicis Groupe will begin with an out-of-home state of the union. After a short break, reconveign in Bristlecone 5 & 6 to continue the discussion with Vistar partners Matt Bayer, SVP of Cadreon, Stephanie Landrum, SVP at Amnet and Casey Winheim, Senior Director at Accuen. They’ll be on stage with MediaMath and The Trade Desk, talking about omnichannel marketing strategy, the role of programmatic platforms and the future of DOOH in the marketing mix.

Chat & Chew with Vistar Media

Sit tight and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the expo, sponsored by Vistar Media, from noon until 1:30 p.m., again in Bristlecone 5 & 6. After a busy morning and before the busy afternoon, you’ll want to take a breather, refuel and recharge!

A Programmatic OOH Debate

On Tuesday, from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. in Bristlecone 7 & 8, join us at “Fingertips to Keyboard: A Programmatic OOH Debate.” During this session, panelists – including Vistar Media’s Publisher Partnerships Director, Chris Waterman –will discuss best practices and terminology relating to programmatic digital out-of-home. Learn how these platforms are collaborating with agencies and brands, as well as the latest trends in programmatic. With a lively debate in store, this session can’t be missed!

Time to Celebrate!

Tuesday evening culminates in an abundance of fun! Well – as wild and crazy as the out-of-homers can get. From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., we kick off the night in Pinyon 4 & 5, for the Awards Opening Reception at 6:00 p.m. Next, the Industry and OBIE Awards will be presented from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. (Congrats and good luck to all the nominees!). Then finish out the night at the post-awards celebration, hosted by Lamar, at Jewel Nightclub.
