Meet Gabby - a powerhouse Sales Director who joined the Vistar team back in March. After several years at The New York Times, leading ad sales across several different platforms and verticals, Gabby moved on to Verve and most recently, Placed. When she’s not setting the bar for style at our New York office, Gabby works with a variety of Vistar’s agency and brand partners, showcasing the value of digital out-of-home and mobile. Recently, we sat down with Gabby to learn more about her role and experiences since joining Vistar.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
My claim to fame in high school was when I was on the track team and instead of running, I chose to power walk and actually won a trophy for it in our district. Another fun fact is that I was set up with my now husband by my mom.
What's your favorite thing about NYC?
How every neighborhood has its own personality and how fast paced it is. I am constantly running a thousand miles an hour and so is the city.
What is the most interesting part of your job?
I love how Vistar is an enigma and that we have the opportunity to work across multiple teams at agencies and client direct. Being able to educate clients on what programmatic digital out-of-home is and the value it brings to clients is so fun. Every meeting has so many follow-ups and attendees leaned in.
Since starting at Vistar, how has your view on out-of-home changed?
It is EVERYWHERE! Being in ad sales for 10+ years, I have always paid attention to advertising and consuming media on all screen types, but now more than ever, I realize how many times a day OOH intercepts you. I love how it is brand safe, tasteful, and how high impact it is.
Tell us about the best team event you’ve attended
Our Q1 happy hour to celebrate exceeding our goal. It was within my first few weeks here and I loved how much positive energy and good vibes there are across all the teams. I am so grateful to be a part of such a growing category and to experience this success first hand.
What is one thing you wish you would have known prior to joining Vistar?
How awesome it was! It has the three qualifiers I look for – product, people and performance. The product is so incredible and the market has such an appetite for it. The people are so smart, friendly, inclusive and hard working. The performance across the entire marketing funnel is so strong that it is a pure joy and honor to represent Vistar in the marketplace.
