Meet Montana - a Vermont native, she graduated from Manhattan College and quickly jumped into the advertising world. After four years at GroupM, Montana was ready for a change of pace, and made her way to Vistar. She’s now a member of our Client Services team, leading emerging markets for Vistar’s international business. Recently, we sat down with Montana to learn more about her role and experiences since joining Vistar.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
I am secretly really good at wake boarding.
Your name is Montana, but you’re from Vermont - is there a story behind your name?
My parents actually heard my name on my mom’s favorite soap opera. When she heard it, she fell in love with it and decided that it was the perfect name.
What is the most interesting part of your job?
I get to travel the world and learn the ins and outs of how each different market operates which has been amazing. It’s also a really great to exercise my love for food.
Since starting at Vistar, how has your view on out-of-home changed?
I honestly used to view out of home as a simple medium, however after working in the space I have learned just how complicated and nuanced the space is. It allows me to be challenged everyday.
Tell us about the best team event you’ve attended
The scavenger hunt that we did with supply on a 95 degree day takes the cake for the best team event. Although it was brutal walking the streets of NYC in the summer, it was such a different experience that truly tested everyone. After walking around for hours, we took a break from the heat to experience the best popsicle I’ve ever tasted in my life and ended up winning!
What is one thing you wish you would have known prior to joining Vistar?
That DOOH is far better than working in mobile!
